Timing chain tensioner

it only buzzes at a specific rpm range on accel/decel, with or without car in gear. If you hear it all the time, but just louder at that point, it isn't clutch buzz. If your buddy did the old group buy on a ACT pressure plate, Comptech flywheel, it came with an oem friction disk. That setup from what I've witnessed is prone to the clutch buzz. Harmless, but annoying.

I have the same exact sound as you do. It's like a fluttering sound that I can hear very well when I am driving with the windows down. I have no idea what it is. I have an '03 with 23k on the odometer. Does anyone know what that sound is and if it is cause for concern??

How loud is the noise that you guys are hearing? I can usually only hear it well at night when there are no other noises in the surroundings. I just want to clarify that I'm hearing what you guys are hearing and that I'm not being paranoid (which I probably am ).
