Default Timing

Ok im getting my head back from the machine shop tomorrow had a three angle valve job, new seals, guides and crower valves. Plan on putting it back together tomorrow and i was sitting here thinking wondering about the timing. I pulled the chain off the idler gear and just let it sit in there wihtout letting it fall all the way down of course. Is there anything special i need to worry about when i set it back over the idler gear, i know the position of the cams and the cam gears set in there. Is it as simple as just slippin the the chain back on the idler or maybe there are some marks i havnt really looked closely. Thanks for al the help !

it does need to be aligned...but if you just removed the head, i don't believe the chain would fall out of alignment.

someone correct me if i'm wrong.
