I have seen some SC S2K's run 13.2's ect and have heard of Turbo S2k's hitting mid 12's. If you get a nicer setup (bigger turbo, stand alone ect) and run 8psi you should easily get mid 12's with a turbo setup. I assume part of the difference is that the turbos make more torque and more power in general, especially under 6000 after they reach full boost at 3500-4000. -Anthony

thanx alot!! that really helps my decision but if I where going to buy a sc or tc I prob would pick the sc because I think it would last longer and be better for the engine. I guess it just depends on how u treat the TC I guess.

TC would be reliable if tuned properly and if a level of boost that is not pushing it depending on the compression. A properly tuned turbo s2k at 6psi will be fine, maybe even 8psi. There are more parts that have to work together to make it run smooth but if done properly with correct tuning, the car should be as driveable and reliable as a SC S2k, not too mention more powerful. Another problem is people cheapout on wastgegates and turbos and then complain when they break. -Anthony

I have seen similar numbers as Fanamn says. The people driving the Vortech S2K are not good drivers obviously if someone can get a half a second better. A Vortech S2k is a legitamate C5, M3 and 911 competitor.
