Yeah i know but its still easier then removing the whole motor.

so with new rings you need to hone the block? that is what scares me dealing with frm lining...

New rings id hone block and take head to machine shop make sure the mating surface is square.

What He Said ^

You WILL have to have it honed before putting in new rings. The rings wont seat if its not. You will also need to have the head decked. So YOU WILL have to pull the whole motor out.
