Is it time for a new battery?
Hey ya'll,
I think it could just be the battery but...
The senerio:
Slow start up. It does not try and try to turn over, it just takes longer than it used to take.
Poor gas mileage; used to get 280 mi/tank. now I am down to 230 mi/tank.
Clicking when cruising; Maybe I did not notice it in the past, but I could almost swear that I can here the valves clicking louder than usual. I don't have a loss of power on takeoff...beats me (I'm guessing this does not have anything to do with the battery, but then again its worth a try.)
Thanks.

The only symptom that is battery-related is the slow cranking upon startup.
Valve train noise is not unusual in the F20C engine, and if excessive can be solved with a valve adjustment. I've noticed that my valves are noisier upon startup now that the weather is cooler.
Poor mileage usually has more to do with your right foot than anything else .
