I thought I had a deal lined up for used Comptech exhaust, but it fell through. I am seriously looking for exhaust for anywhere around $800, new or used. I love the Comptech, just very hard to find. I used to like the Fuji but it's a little too quiet for me. I've heard the Neuspeed which sounds pretty good IMO. Anyone have it?

Just wondering what other kinds of exhausts you guys would recommend. I want something not to loud, and very deep. I don't particularly care if it's single or dual...I'm going for the sound here. Thanks guys

Well your choices sound nice, and if you want a honest to god opinion here it is.

DO NOT BUY INVIDIA...i purchased the invidia test pipe (horrible customer service) and invidia catback v2 exhaust. I have had nothing but problems with the tips rattling. My test pipe also rattles because the fitting isnt right. I have to put J and B weld on my tips so they dont rumble.....and to top if off.....its way to loud. If i could go back in time, i would have just purchased a comptech exhaust. THe thrill factor of the invidia screaming is well past and im stuck with it now. Also...>DO NOT BUY A TEST PIPE...my oil consumption skyrocketed after putting the full exhaust on, you can smell the unburnt fuel and oil.

Save a few hundred more dollars, and never look back...the comptech will suit you fine!

I had a T1-R 63mm and I loved it! Id say its pretty quiet for a single. I sold it because I wanted some peace and quiet for the winter time and I might try something new this spring. Most likely the new T1-R 63 or the Js 60rs.

A test pipe should have nothing to do with oil consumption. What your smelling is the unburnt hydrocarbons. If your burning oil maybee it can be a issue of piston rings, valves, engine components etc. A compression and leakdown test will yeild the truth with that matter. If that much oil is getting to the test pipe then you have some bigger issues with the car.

Hey,

I am currently using a full 70mm T1R single exhaust. Everyone I talk to says it sounds amazing and they love it. I am also looking to sell it. I don't have my stock exhaust though, so I would need yours. Let me know what you think.

How much are you wanting to spend? Both the T1R singles are great (I have the 63mm myself). But they are pretty loud for most folks as are most singles.

If you are willing to spend the money, Amuse offers a single that is quiet and has a nice deep sound, but it is pretty expensive.

Mugen has a very nice sound...costs less than the Amuse, but is still pricey.

You might consider the T1R Sparrow, which is a dual. Not too loud and very deep mellow sound with the silencers out.
