Here's the inside in stages of production. I used 2 different kinds of Dynomat in layers (not for any particular reason), then added bubble foil insulation to reduce heat soak.

Yes, I've even tried lining it with felt and dynamat. I am currently using the intake without the lid on my car....and I still get the noise

my noise did not come from the lid. it came from the chamber that connects to the filter
