Time on Clock doesnt stay set.
the time of day clock on my gauge cluster does not stay set. If i set it to whatever time, than turn the car off and turn it back on, it goes right back to 1:00! about 4 months ago my car was broken into. they pulled out the cluster, cut the wires in the back. they could not pass the cluster through the steering wheel so they just left it wedged inbetween the steering wheel. my insurance company said it was better to splice the wires back together insted of replacing the entire harness. so thats what was attempted the first time in the shop. they gave me the car back and alot of things were not working right on the cluster. when i signal left my brake light was flashing. anyway, they must have crossed wires and didnt connect things the right way. they decided to replace the entire engine wire harness after i went back there and told them off. when i finaly got the car back, the only thing that wasnt working was the clock not staying set. which, i didnt notice untill about 2 days later. ive been ignoring the clock problem since than. recently my CEL came on. i brought the car to the honda dealer. they tell me i have a malfunction in in the PCM (enging control module, computer). they told me it has to be replaced. i spent a fortune replacing the pcm between parts and labor. i told the mechanic about the clock problem and he said its because the old pcm was not holding the memory. anyway, i got the new pcm in there now, i drove the car 75 miles today. No CEL light but, my dam clock still does not stay set and keeps going back to 1:00 every time i turn the car off and on. i would realy appriciate if some one can help me with this. my car is an 04. compleatly stock.

Yeah, sounds like the backup fuse (or the circuit it is part of). This is the circuit that feeds the battery power to the ECU (and apparently the clock?). On my car the clock is part of the radio, but in the newer cars it must be integrated into the ECU and associated systems.
Besides the clock not staying set, it will cause the ECU to keep being reset. It's quite possible that your ECU was fine, and that the basic problem was the backup circuit.
If the fuse is in there, swap it for a new one. If that doesn't work, you may need more diagnostics to see if the circuit is busted somewhere other than at the fuse.
