It's not the tires, as I have gone through at least one set since then and now that I have the Mugen wheels, that would be 3 sets.

I'm going to try the half shaft thing tomorrow and see if that does anything.

Will let you know what I find!

Greg - that should totally fix the problem. Just remember that you need to make sure and put a notch back in the nut on the half shaft to help hold it in place.

I have had each side done once, have about 56k on the car and it seems to be fine. First one started about 15-18k ago, I think...

How are you liking the mugen wheels? you got the racing seat too? right?

those 180ft-lb bolts need to be REPLACED every time they are changed. they are also special order bolts...same size from home depot will not be able to stand that high torque. This is one of the things that kept the dealership from returning my car on time, they did not replace the bolts after swapping my diff and there was a wierd noise from the rear.

What should I use to notch the nut? (sounds like porn talk... )

How do I like the seat and wheels? I love the seat...and the wheels, the car looks wicked with them.

Here's a recent shot next to the Sears Tower...

if they are loose i would suggest replacement because they are special high-torque bolts.
