Ok. I'll surrender Will buy TCT as soon as I get money again. Just got a huge bill in the mailbox.. And the TCT costs $560 in Norway if I calculate the price to $, so there's no question where I'll order it from! Hardtopguy is ok, isn't he? Or should I buy from someone else?

After the spirited runs down at the dragon I was getting a rattle/ticking noise that I could only hear at idle. This would only last about a minute then stop. Since the dragon, the rattle/ticking isn't going away as quickly after spirited driving. This isn't present at startup - fyi.

I watched the videos the 90CRVTEC linked in this thread and OMG that is exactly what the noise is. So, I'm convinced that my TCT needs replacing (it also helped that God weighed in on this )

Honda quoted me $165 for the part and said that they have never replaced one of them so he would have to get back to me on the labor.

I'm thinking about buying the part off of the link that KLEE1113 posted for $106 (thanks).

Finally, my question - how much risk is there in continuing to drive my car to work if I decide to buy the part off the website and wait for it to get here? 12 miles round trip - max 45mph. So far this week while driving normal non-vtec to work I do not hear this noise.
