ticking noise on right turns..
So this is my first problem/troubleshoot ive had on my car. I recently noticed that on right hand turns only there is a ticking noise coming from what seems to be either the front or rear driverside wheels. It is consistant with vehicle speed but i cant quite seem to figure out exactly where its coming from. I have installed KW coilovers, but it was awhile back. this ticking could be from installing those, but i think i would have noticed the sound by now, however i do have a loud exhaust system so may have not noticed. i did a quick scan of the suspension components/checked wheel lug nut torque and everything seemed well. Any ideas?

^ explain further plz.
I have noticed the same noise you are talking about. I was thinking maybe its the axel being strtched under the load of hard cornering I am also dropped. Im reserching hafl shaft spacers maybe they will solve the problem.

This has been covered 1000000000000000000000000 x 100 times. Its an easy fix, just search for ticking noise, ticking while turning, axle nutt, etc etc.

from another thread (on the first page in this section, no less):
i'm not flaming, but it does surprise me that someone who has been here for two years would be so apparently unaware of this situation. then again, this may not be an issue related to AP2s. it's worth checking though i guess.
that sounds like the beginnings of a wheel bearing going bad. re-torque your axle nuts to 220 lb/ft, see if that makes a difference. if the sound goes away, then it's likely the wheel bearing. the sound will eventually come back, get worse, and then you'll need to replace the bearing (and possibly the hub.) it's not a huge deal, takes $150 and a couple of hours.
if re-torquing doesn't change the sound, then disregard what i've said.

i am on the forums alot, and never read a thread specifically related to a ticking noise during turning. i figured it would be something related to what i installed considering my car barely crossed the 18k mark. when i re-installed my wheel after looking around i noticed the sound has gone away.

i found that thread, and im wanting to check the torque on my nut, but want to clarify a few things about the nut. in my service manual it meantions installing a new nut. is purchasing a new nut necessary? and also im not sure of how these spindle nuts work, so if someone could clarify this for me i would greatly appreciate it.
