Default Ticking noise!

First of all i did alot of research and tried everything before this.

I have an 04 and the noise is driving me crazy.

The noise i think is coming from the dash and only sounds when i drive over little bumps or rough streets, but the thing is that the noise only comes when the car is warmed up or after 10 min driving it. Its wierd becuase when the engine is cold, there is no ticking noise at all.

Can you post a vid so we can hear the sound your talking about. It's very difficult to help you diagnose with the description you gave. The s2k is not a Lexus...it has many clicks, rattles, sundry noises.

LExus has rattles, squeaks too but it is so stuffed with foam it is less noisy, but the car is heavier because of this.

Minor noises are no big deal, as long as the S is reliable don't worry about it.

Some people have rattle problems with the hood latching but this is usually at idle, it could still be your problem though.

drive with a passenger listening out their window. If they hear it coming from outside the car, see if the sound changes tempo with egine speed. If this is the case. either you have a valve tick. Or your Timing Chain Tensioner is bad. I know these are obvious "guesses". But 90% of the time those are the causes.
