Default Ticking Noise at 4k-5k RPM's

Recently my car has developed a noise in the range of 4k-5k rpms. Its like a vibrating sound and doesn't really sound like an engine knock to me, but who knows. The wierd thing about it is that it goes away after about 8 minutes of driving, once the engine is warmed up.

I just changed my TCT a week ago so its not that. The only other things I can think of is that I need an oil change (which it is close to that time), or my valves need an adjustment.

Anybody have any insight as to what this noise could be? My car has 72,7XX miles on it.

i think the sound indicates valve timing needed.
get it adjusted and the sound should/will go away.

it doesn't click after awhile because the ecu takes care of it (sort of learns it).

Ok thanks I'll try that and see if it helps. I'm also gonna do an oil change today so maybe that will lessen some of the noise too.

it could also be the valve time chain tensioner that u might have to replace.

Besides the valves or tensioner, is there anything else that it could be? I'm just curious if something that only happens in a range of the rpms and stops after a bit of driving, could be something more serious.

I have this also.

it only happens when the car is cold...so i just don't rev that high anymore until the car warms up.
