Very strange regular faint knocking sound from somewhere underneath the gas tank. There's this black cylinder behind the tank, and the noise seems to come from there or somewhere near. it's very regular and sounds like PVC tubes knocking on each other. Frequency is about 1-2Hz. Does anyone know what that can be?

Take a look under the car and see if anything is loose. It may be the exhaust knocking. It could be the swaybar. Look at your diff mounts...if they are leaking red grease, then they need to be replaced.

Hopefully it isn't your LSD or axles.

no, nothings loose. I've been under the car and the sound is definitely coming from right behind the gas tank, right where there's this black cylinder

howcome your pumpkin is redish in color? anyway off topic, take the resonator off and you'll like the way it sounds especially with a test pipe but with cat on will sound about the same but in a lower tone but pretty audible
