Tick tick tick, during hard right corner
Lately I have been noticing a continuous tick tick tick noise coming from the drivers side rear wheel area when i am doing hard right cornering. be it on the accelerator or off, the noise is still present about 90 percent of the time. Sometimes the noise totally disappears and I think Im losing my mind but then I take another right and sure enough tick tick tick tick tick......
my car is lowered on koni/gc with volk ce28s if this has anything to do with it. i dont think its the wheel rubbing. this sounds more like a continuous "click" while the wheel is turned and the car is moving.
any ideas? a bad wheel bearing?

mine does the same thing and i think it is the driver side axle. I hear it from dead stop starts, when i down shift i hear it at times. and when i turn i hear it and when i reverse i hear it. It doesnt happen all the time like he said but its there. How much is it for an axle?

after a little more searching on the topic, I found that I may need to re tighten my axle nuts to 220 ftlb..... i hope this will work.
now i need to locate the 36mm socket and a decent torque wrench

Axle nut
You have to unstake the nut and remove it first. Put some WD40 on the threads, and a thin coat of wheel bearing grease on the face of the nut where it contacts the hub.
Once you torque it to 220, you'll find it has moved between an 1/8 and a 1/4 turn past the old stake mark.
I would definitely retorque the wheels as well. Aftermarket rims are famous for loosing torque, till they have been tightened a few times.
You used tuner lugs with the Volks, yes?

ok i replaced the axle nut on the drivers side rear, torqued to 220 ftlbs as per billmans instructions and the sound is gone!
i bought another axle nut for the passenger side, although i havent put it on yet. is it necessary since the noise is gone?
another to all the contributors of this forum, without you id be wasting plenty of time and money at the stealership.
