Default Throttle position sensor reading low

My throttle position sensed is reading low. It's reading .22 at idle and 4.45 at WOT. I was told at idle it should read .45-.5 and WOT 4.95-5. Should I be concerned about the low reading? Do you have to replace the throttle body and throttle position sensor?

Do you have an aftermarket throttle body on there , or an oem one ?.

I just helped a local s2k owner last night who had a SOS throttle body and the TPS was totally loose. I reset the position for him based on resistance readings and it worked fine after that. I think the CEL was P1022

It's the OEM throttle body.

If the TPS isn't broken, try to drill out the two sealed bolts, then find two metric socket head replacements in the same length and thread pitch. Then you can adjust the TPS as needed to try and get it to read properly. You can adjust it by resistance settings, I just did a couple if you want some approximate resistance readings I can pm them to you. It's worth a try, and relatively low cost attempt to fix it.

Do you have a code? A symptom? A problem with the car?

I think it is more of an issue with his e-manage system not working with the factory TPS reading, the code was P0122, it didn't happen with the oem ecu, just when on e-manage.

I fixed the emanage issue. Wiring, go figure. But my concern is the idle volts is only .22 and the manal says the normal range is .45-.5 ish
At idle car makes a popping noise from the exhaust, it kind of sounds like hiccups, it also idles alittle lower then I think it should.

Any input Billman?

I ordered a TPS from onmi power
