Throttle position sensor

I was getting a similar TPS fault during a track day. I was able to reset it through OBD but it came back each session.
Before springing for an Omnipower, I took apart the TPS and cleaned it with plastic-safe contact cleaner (you have to slot the bolt heads or have a security torx to get it off). I have had no issues in over a year and 5 track days.
It's worth a try,

Why so hard?…. It’s just a simple position sensor…. Already have slotted the broken off screw to remove and replace.
I can’t seem to probe the voltage at the pins as suggested. .3 to .5vdc at idle position(right?).
Anyone have clear information on this?
So, who’s Omnipower? No call back yet…
any other source? Honda: whole replacement throttle body no longer in production.
thanks

You want the B series or D series TPS sensor from Omni power (I think they're exactly the same). They fit our cars, you just have to slightly alter it by cutting the flanges off in order to rotate the angle to fit our throttle body. No one makes a TPS exactly for our car. If you do a search there's a few threads on here about it. You already did the hard part, which is cutting a slot in the screw.
edit: here's the original thread about it

I just went through this. The omnipower TPS fits the AP1 throttle body without any modification. the bolt holes are already slotted so you can calibrate. Getting to the wires to test voltage is a PITA. You can skin the wires a bit to get to the red/black and test your voltage there. Another option is to plug in an OBDII checker with the ignition on and check your live feed data. Closed TB% should be 6% per Billman. I dialed it in that way, but voltage is probably the more accurate method. I am still working through TPS replacement issues so dont take my word as gold

Have TB and TPS on my B series from my old S engine.

I haven't monkeyed with our TPS yet but on my old Prelude I had to set the WOT voltage to spec, somewhat ignoring the closed voltage. Stock TPS had lower than spec closed voltage, WOT in-spec voltage. If I adjusted the TPS resting screw to make the closed voltage match spec, idle was way too high even with that car's idle speed screw all the way closed.

I replaced mine with this one from amazon without issue. For the measurements I looked at all the values I could of the stock one through OBDII and then after I replaced. I can't recall what it was called but there was a chart for requested motor position or something for the butterfly. Without adjusting to the point where it threw a code I just made sure the car was requesting the butterfly to open all the way. I forget what closed was. You could see what the request was in real time based on the pedal position.

They make probe lead attachments that have a sharp, thin bayonet, a needle, that can easily pierce wire insulation, then when you remove probe, plastic insulation seals it back up. Barely can tell wire disrupted.
Can find on Amazon.
