Throttle LAG at WOT under 2.5K RPM
#17
tightening your throttle cable could help.
a few months back, i got a CEL P0221: TPS etc.
my car exhibited similar characteristics, felt like heat bog when i would mash the throttle at low RPM, but would happen when there shouldn't be any heat bog. almost like i was telling the car to give wide open throttle, and something else was telling it to not only not go wide open, but instead cut to about half power.
i bought a used '04 throttle body (because for some reason unknown to me, Honda decided they didn't want you to be able to just replace the TPS), and continued to drive the car.
when the throttle body came in, the CEL went off on its own, but the symptoms still existed.
about a week ago i decided to go ahead and put the new TB on; my problem is gone.
to note, the '04 TB came with a new (to my car) MAP sensor and TPS, so i guess the problem could have been related to either or both of those.
i agree that in posts like the OPs, sometimes it's funny to point out that the car has very little torque even at high RPM, much less at 1k; however, i don't really think it's necessary for multiple people to point this out
