Default throttle body/TPS question

so about 3 weeks ago i got a CEL. immediately got the code, it was P0221: throttle position sensor. i called a mechanic buddy, he gave me all the info i needed, and told me that in the meantime it wouldn't do any harm to keep driving the car until i got it taken care of. i sourced a new (to me) throttle body to replace the whole thing. about 2 days ago, the light went off. should i assume that maybe there is/was a loose connection somewhere that was causing the code? should i go ahead and replace the unit anyway?

thanks guys

Default

Check the TB resistance , make shure it varies smoothly with moving the tplate (find the specs online)

Then check the wires beetween the ECU and the TB

The TB you got might have the problem too
