Chris,
Did you purchase the prowflow TB or send your TB in to them to re-bore and port?
Proflow has 155.00 listed for the S2K, this is better than spending 650+ for spoon TB. I tihink that price is a core x-chng and shipping the stock TB to them to re-bore.
I have a AEM CAI, I would think carring the diameter of the intake tube all the way through to the 70MM TB, would be a benefit, at least for consistant airflow.

Here is a thread on the subject.
This is something that I am also curious about.
Someone is claiming 17hp with an exhaust.
http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/eng.../throttle_body/
Listed link above, this is a Spoon Sports TB alternative that is much more affordable and you wouldn't have to swap out the stock TB, like you would with proflow.
I might give it a try with a header and my AEM CAI that I have now and see what happens on the Dyno. I need about a month to get the funds together.

I actually had my bother buy a thorttle body for me and had him send it to Proflow directly, they sent me the throttle body back (bored) and a check out when I sent mine back to them. My brother works for Honda so I got it for cost. At the time they had a waiting list of like 15 people for core exchanges so it benefited both of us. They got a throttle body for cheap and I got to step in front of the line

I am actually going to start looking for a used stock TB to send in to them. If I can find one for a good price, where I save money buying a stock and sending it in for the bore and port = less than buying one that is after market, then I would do it also.
Just in case anything goes wrong, I can take it off and put the stock TB back on and the car in for warranty issues.

You really can't go larger than 66mm without porting the manifold. If you do, you will have a lip where the TB meets the manifold. This will disrupt airflow and may hurt power. I was the test guinea pig for the Erick's Racing TBs. Even with the 68-66mm on my car there was a slight lip which impeded performance. In fact, I just went and measured the stock inlet opening and TB diameter on my S2k sitting in the garage and there is less than 1mm of extra clearance on the manifold relative to the TB.
I believe the Proflow units were tapered, right? Stock goes from 66-64mm, what does Proflow do? The ERE units are 68-66 and 70-68.
Anyways, ERE was interested in doing a group buy for $350/unit, but no one bit so they pulled it. If enough people are interested, pm me and I'll see if they want to try again.

Hello Jeremy,
You can either send yours in first, or we can send you a completed one to
install first, then you send back yours after install. Many prefer that way
as down time with your car is minimal. The inner bore is also just over
64mm, while the inlet is just over 70mm.
Let us know if we can help.
Thanks,
Jim
Exact e-mail from proflow on the TB. 8:54 am Monday.

2nd E-mail reply from Jim at proflow
The manifold would need to be port matched for anything larger than what we
bore them to. The stock throttle body bore size is 62mm, and we bore them
to match as closely as possible the size of the stock intake opening, which
we sampled and found to be just over 64mm. Most Hondas are this way, with
the throttle body being slightly smaller than the intake opening.
The inlet to the throttle body is opened up to over 70mm, which eliminates
any interference/lip of the throttle body in the intake tube. The 70mm is
tapered down to the 64mm bore and then it meets up to the 64mm intake
manifold opening.
So, no port matching required with our throttle body rebore.
Thanks Jeremy, you have excellent questions regarding this modification.

The core charge is $400, which is the replacement cost at Honda. From the
outside it is hard to tell that it is modified, but to the trained eye, one
might be able to spot it from the outside. We don't have an outright
purchase price aside from buying you a new core plus the rebore price, which
results at about $555.
Thanks,
Jim
This is a 3rd reply regarding cost of an out right buy and core charge.
