I recently replaced my vibrating CAT with a invidia test pipe. 2 Defoulers drilled out has been working great for a couple weeks now. Lots of short trips and cold starts. No CEL!

Can you share a brief writeup on your TP and Heatshield mod? I have a Berks TP and want to do something similar.

Sure, I will post info on setting up a 70mm tp as well. I have built a few of these over the years and they work out very well
It will be pretty late before I will be able to post the info.

Does a test pipe make a noticeable change in exhaust note on an otherwise stock exhaust?

I have the stock sized tp, 63.5 mm I think. I think the note did change a little, nothing major though. The only thing that I noticed for sure was an occasional rasp when revving while sitting still.

Here is a thread I did in the local Florida section of the site,

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/101...art-2-3-31-13/

There is some videos and information on exhaust modifications I have made. Using a proper size tp is going to give you the best sound results, using to large a tp on a stock or even UK modded stock exhaust will cause raspy sounds and a none tuned exhaust note
