Default Those with a magnetic oil plug..

I have had the Spoon magnetic plug for only one oil change cycle and did not expect to see it catch much.. boy I was surprised.. more than a trivial amount of metal was stuck to the magnet. It was not covered but about 2mm was covered with fine metal particles. This after only about 1100 miles and one track event on Mobil 1.

Anyone else see that much?

I havn't seen that much on the magnetic plug, though I do use an oil filter magnet as well from Griot's.

Ocassionally when I change my oil, it seems like there's a sludge stuck to the top of the plug...this isn't metal particles, then?

The Spoon Mag Drain set (tranny plug, short and the oil pan plug, long) run $55. We currently have about 15 sets in stock for $45 shipped. It is not unusual to see lots of material on the plugs, either.
