third brake light
i just replaced my third brake light because the old one was cracked.
when i removed the old one, i notice portions of the lens where rubbing on the paint. Also i removed the nuts with my fingers - they were snug but with some pressure, i got them off. Once removed, i can see that this brake light collects alot of dust and dirt behind it.
when i installed the new one, i tightened the nuts finger tight.
should i go back and try to use a wrench to snug a bit more?? am concerned about craking the lens
Obeservation-
Also, other than the foam pads on the 5 bolts and the eletrical connection, the lens rides against the trunk lid. yes, there is the very thin rubber behind the lens and built into the lens these small platic molded posts that make contact with the lid - i would assume these are made so the lens does not rub on the lid. Surprise there was not a larger rubber gasket that covered the entire contact service of the lens.
