Is there a secret to pulling off the valve cover?

^all good info., the valve cover should come off relatively simply if you do it properly. I did the wire loom removal and the sensor removal and it pops out nicely

Hmm I dunno what this wire loom is you guys are talking about. I'll have to take a look the next time I get a clear day and can try again.

Just to update this thread, my problem the first time was that I was lazy and didn't remove those black rubber grommets. It's nearly impossible to remove the valve cover with those still on. Once you remove them, it's relatively easy.

Edit: Also, when you put the cover back on, make sure you align those spark plug gaskets. You have to push them over the uh spark plug tubes.
