Default test pipe problem

im currently running a veilside titanium single exhaust and recently added a T1R race cat to it. Love how the car sounds and performance is somewhat noticable, but i noticed that the black plastic piece in the back is melting. any suggestions to fix this problem before it melts the rest of the bumper. thnx.

Same thing happened to me with the RM Racing exhaust. I trimmed the bumper and had a small plate welded between the two pipes before they split far apart. This helped to keep the exhaust mounted better. Now the tips do not move at all.

I see that alot evo/sti people have a nice piece of carbon fiber protecting the bumper. I wish we had something like that. Im running the t1r exhaust and megan test pipe, so far no melting or anything. Hope it stays that way.

I'm having the same issue and wanted to see what's the best way to extend the mufflers out? I don't really want to cut the tips and weld an extender...

Thanks
