Default Test Pipe

I am thinking about adding a test pipe to my car. I have my05 with comptec SCw/AC and Fujitsubo Legalis R exhaust. I really like the performance and the sound however a little more of both is very tempting. I have read in these forums alot of differing opinions and am confused. I understand that there are some environmental concerns, i.e., smoke & smell, staining of bumper. Also some concerns about setting off the CEL sencors. If u have or had a similar setup please let me know what your opinion is. Also if I do go with a test pipe are they all about the same, i.e., Berk vs TR1???

Definitely get a testpipe, you will feel a nice increase in power, especially with the boost.

All you need is an o2 simulator which are very easy to make and you'll have no conern about getting a CEL.

Most testpipes are about the same; some are resonated, some aren't.

you will pollute. your exhaust will get brown and so will your bumper (not on my BB though ) Sound is nice.. slight gain but mainly in head dyno. I have a berk TP.. excellent construction and the built in O2 fix works perfectly (on my car).

The cat is not large or really even thick enough to cause much of a sound reduction anyway. Its mostly in the mufflers, IMHO. I did the cat removal with an invidia 70mm, and its damn loud. But the cat bypass is not the reason

I have a Vortech running stock boost...added the T1R testpipe about 3 weeks ago...I do notice a little diffrence in power.on a stock S2k they say you gain about 5whp-10whp.but with the S/C you should be getting somewhere around 10whp-15whp.Haven't dynoed it but it is a noticable feeling...

ps no cel here.I do notice a smell but no staining of the bumper.
