Been trying to get a hold of a belt tensioner pulley poste haste as I'm taking a road trip this upcoming weekend and mine is whining like a supercharger. Ordered it from one of the big Honda Parts places ($45 or so) out on the east coast- even with Overnight shipping it might not get here in time because they have to order it.

Started doing some digging. Guess what shares the EXACT same pulley?

1994 Ford Mustang V6

Local parts place has 5 in stock! $14.99.

Ain't it sweet?

Will update as soon as I have it on there.
Thwarted! The bearing is the correct size, as is the pulley, but the pulley itself doesn't quite clear the relief on the tensioner side... The bearing looks to press out really easily. Going to take it to a bearing guy tomorrow and see what's what.

Got it. Go to a bearing shop and ask for bearing 6203. OD: 40mm ID: 17mm Width: 12mm. You want the sealed one. Ran me $8.

Drove to a machine shop, pulled tensioner assembly, they pressed in the new bearing and charged me $5.

So about 30 minutes and $13 later, I've got a new tensioner pulley bearing.

Many thanks

This is great, I did the same thing to my work car (MX6) last week and saved $80. Pressing the bearing out is not easy though, at least not on the mazda. I had to use a giant arbor press at work.
