Tein RA or CS...decision time
Ok,
After months of research, I nailed down to two setups. The RA and CS. I think CS is geared towards street comfort and RA is more like hardcore autocross suspension. I drove my friend's RA on his 17" tires. The ride was ok, not too stiff at all.
My goal is to go to autocross next year and drive the S on the street before that. I have the whiteline x-brace and the spoon front and rear strut bars and I am about to install the whiteline front sway bar. The chasis is very solid, I guess with the tein suspension, my car's handling is going to be near perfect.
LMK what you think>?
Current and near future mods:
18" OZ superleggera race silver 225 front and 255 rear. (S-03)
Whiteline x-brace and front swaybar
Spoon front and rear strut bars.
Spoon snorkel
K&N air and oil filters
Plus tein RA or CS coilover.
It is going to be sweet!!!!!!!!!!
Feel free to opine.

I cannot speak from experience but in reading on these boards people have repeatedly mentioned how soft the CS's are and I have actually seen a number of sets go up for sale with the sellers moving onto purchase RA's.

I've had both sets on my car. Currently, I am running on the Tein RA's
I would only recommend the Tein CS for daily driving. When I had the Tein CS with my 17" volk ce28n's I would get some slight rubbing in the front on hard turns and large bumps. My car was lowered to about a 1-finger gap all around and the dampening was set to full firm. If you race with stock wheels then I think the Tein CS would be okay, but they're not really made for track or autocross.
Now with the Tein RA's I have never had a rubbing problem, but my car is not as low as it use to be. The Tein CS set on full firm is about the same as the Tein RA's set on full soft, big difference!
One thing I noticed about the Tein CS is that they have a rubber trim on the pillow ball mounts which help prevent creaking and noise. On the Tein RA's there's no rubber trim on the pillowball mounts which makes them noisier.
My Conclusion:
Tein CS = Daily driving, less noise, and comfortable
Tein RA = Decent daily driving, a little noisy, better track and autocross.

About the noises. It is not like constant screeching noises at the time, right? I mean how often you heard the noises? Only in hard cornering or hitting a bump, or just about all the time you would hear the noises.

Yeah, the noise is not all the time. It is mainly during the first couple minutes of driving the car after sitting overnight or something. You will probably also notice a little noise when going over large bumps, but not during turns or normal driving
