the lower part is for the height adjustment, try to set the front a little softer, you don't want to set it too stiff or too soft because something unfornately happens, you would lose control of the car, tires blown-out (suspension too stiff), tires rub against the fender (this results in the damper is soft and make squiggy noises), plus another thing, don't low it too low. car too low may causes the squiggy noises to occur. i have nothing so far on the s2000, but the honda accord has the Tein SS, front 1" drop and 1/2" drop in the back. also the front seems to have squggy noises, i suspected because the tires seemed to rub against the fenders (i've checked and it was, the front seem too low, too lazy to raise it up). i'm running stiff all around. i'll mess with the setting as soon as i could get the front raise about 1/2".
