Technical ? About Gears
Ok, ive been seeing a lot of threads about gear set ups, mainly the 4.77's and the 4.57's. i understand that changing gears can result in different ratios for different power, mainly top and low end.
what im trying to find out is, how do you know what set of gears is right for you?
my assumption would be that since the 4.57's are lower, they would have a greater top end then the 4.77's. whats the main difference between the two sets?

Stock Gears are like 4.10.
4.57 would increase your acceleration and lower your theoricial top speed.
4.77 would really increase your acceleration and really lower your top speed.

if you're going FI i would go with the 4.57 but if you go N/A i would go with the 4.77 gear set. just remember that you'll have to shift sooner through each gear.. and when it comes to the top speed, i dunno how often you'll actually hit 130+mph.... so it's all up to you..

whats the gear limited top speeds of the two:?
http://www.reverendsgarage.net
and then go to gear ratio calculator and it should give you the speeds to every gear and yes even top speed when you put in a specific final gear...
