Man...I still here notihng at all as far as TCT sound.
I believe after having heard many of the videos, as well as the numerous discussions about it on the forums here, I encountered mine, just as it was starting to act up, before it went completely full blown.
Call me crazy, but I heard a noise when I filmed the original video, and even to this day, I still hear that same noise when I replay the video. All I know is that before I replaced the TCT, there was a loud, noticeable noise, and after I replaced the TCT, the sound disappeared, and I have yet to encounter it since, and that was roughly about 5,000 miles ago.

TCT noise is prominent over any noise in the car, including a running engine.
If an s2k is on its way to my shop with a bad TCT, I can hear the TCT noise down the street before I even hear the car.

For the future, all TCT videos should be taken with the hood closed, 10 feet from the car, if you REALLY want to hear the noise. Underhood noise blends it out when taken too close. In the vid I posted, the camera is in the drivers seat.
