TCT TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER
ok after reading about 19 page about TCT I would like to start this thread since it looks like its one of the cause thats making this problem.
up until today no one really know what the hell is causing this.
so i will start this....
I USED
MOBIL ONE FOR ABOUT 3 1/2 YEAR noise started around almost 6-8 months now. about 3 thousand miles ago i decided to try out the castrol syn. oil. well it stop for about 1k then it started again.
NOW MY QUESTION
how many of you is using mobil 1 and have this problem my car has 74k on it never drivin hard vtec once or twice every 3-4 months yea yea yea........ i know.
anyways i would like to know maybe mobil 1 might be causing this problem....
i will be doing the tct change tomorrow. i hope i can do the video DIY.....

On my third... Mobil1.
In my case at 113k, it was discovered that my oil pump wasn't delivering enough oil pressure.
My theory:
The root cause of some S2k's TCT issues may be a failing oil pump which is not providing enough pressure, which in turn makes the TCT make the clacking sound.
