TCT? Is this the noise?
Started having this sound that has gotten to the stage where it is obvious even sitting in the car. Is this the famous TCT issue?
Is it safe to drive the car at all? Or at any point, could this cause a failure of the timing chain?

Any advice as to what to do? I am going to schedule a dealer visit soon.
Its a 2007 with barely 4400 miles, and it was broken in as recommended. First oil change only about 300 miles ago(at dealer).

Hi Negcamber,
Thanks for the answer, but I am not exactly mechanically inclined. So what does that mean(is it like the serpentine belt pulleys?) Should I be driving the car? What can i expect when I go into the dealer(as in is it a major job for them to fix it?). What could cause this to happen?
Thanks!

^^ Yes, it might be a belt pulley. I think I would get it to the dealer on Monday if I could. It is hard to say how difficult it will be to fix without knowing exactly what it is...and if it is a pulley, it will depend on which one has a bad bearing...some are easier to get to than others. But regardless I would expect at least a couple days for the car to be at the shop...it probably won't be as easy as an oil change to fix.

^^ As soon as the dealer tells you what is wrong tell us and then we might be able to tell you how it happened. Without knowing what is wrong, there is no way to tell you the cause.
