TCT
my engine devoloped a clicking/knocking noise. i changed from mobil 1 10w30 to amsoil 5w30. two days after it was still having the problem so i thought i may need a valve adjustment. driving home from work my engine was completey quite until i come into my parking space and it started knocking again. does this sound like a timing chain tensioner.

i dont have a video camera. i drove it now and the noise is still there right when i strat it up but you cant hear it past 2500-3000 rpm. when i rev it the idle drops to 500 and studders for a second till it goes up to 900.

Not sure about the knocking sound you are hearing. My car at starup makes like a scratch/grind kind of a noise which I think is the TCT but not 100% sure on it.
As for the studder that is probably IAC or the passage blocked in the tb or the MAP sensor. I would clean the IAC out, take the MAP sensor and give it a wack, see "map wack"
Those are the most common issues with studdering. I have the same issue. Cleaned my IAC which was full of gunk. Helped but I think the TB air passage to the IAC is the real culprit.
