Default Tanabe Strut Brace

I am putting in a Tanabe Sustec strut brace and have a K&N FIPK gen II intake.

Not sure which direction the strut brace goes.

I can mount it to the inside of the towers in which case it sits about 1/4" in front of the block and rubs the intake where it mounts to the throttle body. The rubber / silicon joiner.

If I mount it so it sits in front of the towers then the K&N intake interfers and rubs.

The directions were in Japanese - not legible to me.

Anyone mount one of these and which option did you choose ???
