Taking out the resonator?

so will the sound pick up intensity when in the vtec range???

just had it done, sounds really nice with top down with a nice hum down low. Sounds a lil off when top up, like resontates EVER so slightly but nothing too noticiable.

What/where is the resonator? Its that the little appendix looking thing that sticks out like you-know-what and goes no where, or is it the muffler looking thing in between the cat and the two end mufflers?
I can't find a diagram anywhere that labels the thing, not even the shop manual.

Yea, it sticks out of the you know where next to the whatchamacalit close to the clamp bearing near the ICP switch on the wrong side of the tube inlet nozzel left of the power "mouse" transit tube far left of the black box hose muffler shaft.
Got that?

Anybody know a good muffler shop to have a resonatorectomy done at here in Sacramento (Arnoldville?)?

Replacing the resonator with a straight pipe wont throw any codes or void my warranty will it?
