Default Tach missing a line ap1

Noticed the tach on my 00 just lost a line between 0 and 1000 rpm. Guessing a led died or something like that. How do I fix it

Looking at some pics online, I think I may be going crazy. I could've sworn there were lines between the first line all the way at the bottom of the tach to the bar where 0 starts but maybe there isn't.

No, that's an intentional gap indicating that the tach doesn't register anything below 500rpm (cause the engine would stall below that rpm anyway). Perfectly normal. Here's my car (just barely shows it):

For future reference, here are a few more pics from Honda literature/advertising.

'99-'03 9k tach, showing the gap:

'04-'09 8k tach, does NOT have the gap, instead has a line for each 100rpm increment between 0 and 500:

'04-'09 9k tach, also has individual 0-500 lines (i.e. no gap):

And last but not least, the original prototype 10k tach, which DOES have the gap:

You're welcome.

Thanks guys. Totally strange, I've been driving the car for years, no idea why I thought something was off.

My guess is Honda had to change it after a wave of owners asking for their tach to be fixed.

Can you imagine being a dealer and having to talk down some of this irate customers? Owning new cars and seeing a 'hole' in their tach. Thank God known of us a honda dealers.

I would have loved the 10K tach
