Id suggest just experimenting around and see what works for you and what doesnt, Mobil 1 is still a great oil and it works just fine for many s2k owners as well.

Thanks guys! Probably in about a few weeks or so I'll switch brands to see what's best.

I installed a baffled catch can, new PCV and switched to Castrol Syntec and haven't lost a drop since. Try it...

i've used mobil 1 syntehtic 10w30 or 5w30 since 5k miles and the car now has 90k. from 2miles to 90k the car has always burned oil and every s2k owner have said its just part of the motor. ive had honda guys say, "its a high revving motor or high revving honda motor" but i had a 98 gsr and a 00 celica gts and never had this much of an issue of losing oil every 1500-2k. just this week i lost about 3/4 a quart since i last toppped it off a month ago. i always check for leaks and there is none, i don't feel any performance loss, i'm not at redline 80-90% of the time i'm so far from it. so it could be like some have said the oil, i'll try changing the brand on the next oil change.

one thing that someone told me it could be due to the open air filter. so when i topped it off last week i went back to stock just to see if that changes anything.

Didnt know an open air filter can affect oil burn haha.

Btw a valve adjustment should help right?

Should try Amsoil...seems to be the most popular here.
