royal purple costs the same as mobil 1 synthetic, so its not a waste of money. have you tried it before? I suggest you read up on the royal purple website before passing judgement.
saying that royal purple is priced the same as Mobil 1 is not proof that it's not a waste of money. I could price lard and spit the same as Mobil 1, doesn't mean they're suddenly equally good at protecting engines.

also if you're going to cite sources to support your argument, it's generally accepted practice to reference data gathered independently, not to reference the stuff posted on the royal purple website. don't you think they might have a biased opinion?

Oh yeah

"The most frequent comment from customers is how they can feel the difference in their vehicles after switching to Royal Purple."

From this website:

http://royalpurple.com/techa/whyrpa.html

Switch to royal purple and you WILL notice and feel the difference.
what about those people who tried royal purple and said, "I don't feel a damn bit of difference." do you think royal purple is going to include their commentary on their website as well?

Royal purple is not a waste of money. Instead of criticizing it, why don't you bring up some relevant data on royal purple? i'm not the dis-believer here, you are.

Do your own research on Royal purple if you want to know.

Its funny that you mention bias. You believe mobil 1 is fine and worth the money, but when i mention royal purple, now you need some kind of "reference gathered data" that is independently done.

I say use vegetable oil... I notice that my car not only runs smoother, easily revs to 10K, but has the added benefit of smelling great and adding to a nice aroma when I drive.... I also use it to deep fry chicken. IMHO its the way to go!

I haven't said anything about Mobil 1 being "worth the money" (I use Chevron dino oil, remember?)

I was replying to your "evidence" of equivalent quality just because royal purple is priced the same as Mobil 1.

here is some evidence for you, tested independently but advertised on royal purples website. :

I'm sure just about everyone knows about mobil 1, but these guys use royal purple instead. I'm posting this because some people may think royal purple is "not worth the money".
