Its called a "map whack" you disconnect the ECU fuse, and the connector to the map sensor, and whack it. there a thread here with complete instructions. there is a updated MAP sensor avalible also. how many miles you got on it? have you run some fuel injector cleaner?

I would love to search for it but the "search" function is not working... which makes my research very unproductive.

The car is an 2001 and I have about 25k miles on it. I have not tried any fuel cleaners. Should I try that first?

Try redline S-1 or chevron techtron FI cleaner, add at every oil change. have you replaced air filter? at 25k it may be time.

Ok Oakfloor, I will do that. Do I haev to do that for every oil change I do?

I just got the car on saturday so I haven't put anytihng on...except blind spot mirrors

If it keeps your car running smoothly, then go for it. most members here do use these FI cleaners with good results. try s2k library for the map whack info.
