Default Symptoms of a clutch that needs replacement?

I noticed about a month ago, if I redlined a gear and switched to the next, the car would just rev for a bout a second before the gear engaged and the car started to acclerate again. Now about a month later it has gotten noticeably worse. If I'm just cruising on the freeway at around 60mph and decide to pass someone up in 6th gear, i'll press on the gas and it will acclerate up to around 62mph and then the rpm's will just rise and I have to let go of the gas and press it a little bit lighter so that it accelerates instead of revving. I'm guessing this has something to do with having to replace the clutch. If so, what components would need to be replaced, and how much am I looking to spend? The car has roughly 30k miles on it.

Try bleeding the fluid first and see if that helps. If not you could try adjusting the pedal. If those don't work, you need a new clutch. Honestly I am guessing you do since it is already slipping in 6th gear.

sounds exactly like what i'm having but mine is worse. My car slips bad in every gear now. I bought the clutch kit from hardtopguy.com (thanks Jeff ) and i'm getting it put in tomorrow. The tranny shop is charging me 400 + tax which from what i can tell isn't all that bad.

Now the clutch kit from Hardtopguy comes with a new flywheel (comptech) which elevates the price a bit. You might only need a new disc or pressure plate or both. Just for numbers sake, assume you need a new clutch (disc & PP) and with labor, you're looking at roughly $1000+/-. if you shop smartly you should be able to get below that if you want.

i did a few times when i first got it after around 10k miles or so. i also taught my gf how to drive stick on it =X but she was pretty easy on the car and never really bogged or revved real high to burn it up quick, so it's most likely from the launching i did back then. i suppose what i'll do is take it somewhere and have them tell me exactly what i need so i don't have to spend more than i have to since money is kinda tight right now.

Sounds like your disc is glazed...what it is ...is when u step on the gas its trying to grab the pressure plate but the clutch disc is melted really smooth like glass probably....it happed a couple a time from me racing my integra alot....im willing to put my money on thats what it is...if ur going to replace your disc like you should u mind as well go head and replace the pressure plate so you wont have to do it later on and u can launch harder with a new pressure plate...hope i helped...

I think some grammar, punctuation, and capitalization is needed. My head hurts after reading that.
