Now is that engine flush from Amsoil just a marketing scheme? That is what i have heard from here. It says to put the bottle in which is 10% capacity and run the engine for 15-20 mins. Is that safe to do?

You have no oil leaks or burn so I think I'd stay with dino. The old saying "don't fix anything thst isn't broken" applys here. I drove my last Corvette for 16 years and never used a synthetic. The car leaked or burned about a quart of oil every 1,000 miles since new and the same amount when I finally got rid of it. All oil is even better now days than it was in the '80s and in your case , no reason to change IMO. Be diligent with changes as the previous owner obviously was and expect many thousands more miles trouble free.

it is supposed to remove deposits. amsoil and motul have an engine flush. not sure if available thru other brands

I've used Amsoil since 1996 and have never been a fan of the engine flush idea.
I think it's a carry-over from a day gone past - a product that was needed in the 70's and 80's (perhaps the early 90's) due to the deposits left by earlier conventional oils - but it's not really needed any longer due to the improvements in oil detergent packages.
I personally wouldn't use any of the engine flush products - you don't get all the solvent out with the oil change. Just do a quick change (shortened oil change interval for the first change).
