During the summer months you can use a higher viscosity oil, we always use Castrol 10w60 in the high hp cars. Heard Redline got it now as well.
And these cars use 0w30 and 5w40 from factory.

no, the concept of Auto-rx is to help release piston rings that might be siezed in place, it is quite unlike any over the counter product you refere to.
9000 rpms 20 times a day . I understand the need to enjoy the fruits of this car but it could be wearing out like an eraser under these conditions. Might be a good time for a compression test. Whatever the results this engine doesn't owe you a dime. What a hard working little trooper it is.
I think a couple of small changes could easily get you back to 1 quart per 1000 miles, in which case you would be back into a reasonable situation consumption wise.

But absolutely my engine is a trooper, I have owned this car nearly 4 years now and it has never hiccuped once. If I was going to vtec only a few times a month as you do I would have just bought a civic because that's exactly what this car feels like below 6000rpm

Do I have to order that Auto-Rx stuff directly off their website? I have looked around nobody seems to carry it locally.
Before adding it to your warm engine oil (fresh oil and filter with no Riselone in there), put the bottle in something with hot tap water for a few minutes. The lanolin esters are very thick when cold and very thin when hot. Shake the bottle after you warm it and then put it in your sump. Then drive your car for awhile to mix the Auto-Rx into the engine oil. Then just follow the instructions on their website. Good luck!

My S2000 also drink Synthetic at about the same rate (at least a quart every 500 miles). This happens whether in spirited driving or barely moving over 4000 rpm.
It is quite high mileage (115,000), and I only just recently purchased the car, so I have no idea if the consumption was always this high. There is a slight oil burning smell on startup but no leaks, and power/fuel consumption seems fine.
I have tried both Mobil 1 and Royal Purple in the car, with similar heavy consumption (Royal Purple seems a bit slower). I may go ahead and switch to Castrol GTX to save some money at the rate its drinking it.
Please post any solutions if you find they work.

I've used Amsoil ATM 10w30 in my AP1 for the last 10k miles, and burned it at a rate of 1500 miles per quart.
On my last oil change I switched to Motul 8100 5w30 and so far haven't burned any over 1200 miles. I'll report back if the brand change has reduced/eliminated my oil consumption.

There is no oil that will 'cure' oil consumption. Some people still dont get it
The F20C will ALWAYS consume oil when hard driven. If you change to raspberry soda on your next oil change, it will consume that too. Get it once and for all!!

I'm hoping to reduce consumption by trying something else. If it works, great, if it doesn't, nothing lost.
