I am looking at an aluminum driveshaft right. Rules will not allow a carbon driveshaft. Aluminum suspension pieces are a must.

what about getting a much shorter final driver and just going 3rd to 4th instead? like 5.1 final drive and size the tires.

What if you went with a 3.636 final drive gear in the diff - would that allow 75mph in 2nd? That allows for 76mph on the stock tires at 8900 rpm with an AP1 transmission. The 23.5" tires are slightly smaller than the stock 225/55/16 ones, right? So you'll be slightly slower on the top end, hmm...
