Swaped motor having problems

Lightbulb Swaped motor having problems

Hi i have a 00 s2k and i put in a 03 swap and when i start the car i cant get to rev the engine over 3k, and it gives me a p1607 code EGM/PGM Internal Circuit Failure A.

Sounds like your ECU. I'll check later and confirm once I get home.

I would recheck all your connections to make sure everything is connected and maybe even try using the old sensors from your old motor.

If you can give more info on the whole proccess.

today we were working on the car for a good 4h tried switching a lot of shit ecus' and cant rev over 3gran :S wtf is up with that

it sounds like the car is in limp home mode

I would check all connections, check vacuum lines, your TPS sensor isn't damage, Map sensor, all grounds are connected correctly

Speaking of grounds, I believe the s2000 has a similar ground at the thermostat housing area( not 100% sure) if that's loose you will throw some crazy codes and it will act very bizzare. I would go over every ground wire again. If you took a few days to do the swap sometime where your ground was connected can become dirty/rusty so you may have to clean that area first. Check you sensors at the firewall and make sure they weren't damage dropping the motor in.

yea im checking at all that even the ground by the firewall
