Quick question to anyone who's rebuilt their F20C (2.0L) engine with sleeves, Pauter rods, CP pistons, etc.
What parts would you have to change besides the internal reciprocating assembly (Crank, Rods, Pistons) to upgrade to F22C (2.2L)? It looks like both engines use the same harmonic balancer/pulley, timing gear & front side stuff, but the parts catalog lists a different flywheel for 2.0 vs. 2.2. Would this also imply a different pilot bearing, clutch pressure plate/disc, etc.?
Please let me know. My block's with Laskey for sleeving and I could get a new F22C crank for $880 delivered to Laskey (and sell my F20C crank to someone).
My goal is wide powerband & TORQUE for auto-x, as I'm going with a GT3076R turbo for quick spool and Full Race header for efficiency.
Thanks for any advice / experiences offered.
Best regards,
Stanford
