I have the SAME issue. I've got 105k on mine. It dosent sound like rubber on rubber. At first I thought the plastic guard that hangs off the bumper in front of the tires were doing it. It is definitely not that.

WE NEED HELP!! I had my buddy listen from the outside and he didnt hear anything.

I am having the same issue but according to this post:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry1294878

And a few others, I am going to try silicone spray on bushings and the A-arm. In different posts I found it's either spring that will always make this noise or the bushings too dry or something along those lines.

Bushings is what I had replaced on my integra. I'm guessing if its not the struts then its probably the bushings.

If possible please let us know if the problem goes away by spraying the rubber bushings with silicone spray. I'm really hoping that it's that simple and not something that is more serious or costly to fix.

i installed konis and espelirs on my old S and it started happening, that car got wrecked, i swapped the suspension to my new S, and the sound was there again.

I think it might be the rubber piece that sits in between the bottom of the spring and the shoe that the spring sits in. (i dont know if thats the bushing you all are talking about)

I remember these pieces being pretty worn when i installed my suspension, but didnt have time to replace them since its my dd

I took it to S&R and they did not find anything wrong with the suspension or cv joints or anything. The only thing he could think of was maybe a squeaky spring...

I will still try and take some time out to spray the silicon spray this weekend and see what happens.

Yea I'm not a expert on the subject but I def had the sound your referring to. I figured it was coming from the soft top and all the mechanical moving parts, I added a front upper sway bar and it went almost completely away and then I repainted and greesed the latch catchs for the soft top and it went completely away.

I think it comes from the flexing in the frame over un-even roads like speed bumps and such. I think the stiffening of the front suspension helped me, but again not an expert nor am I claiming to be.

We should totally have a DIY on how to lube/silicone spray x y and z parts. For noobs like us, we don't know what to spray and what not, but I plan to buy a few cans of spray and spray everything that I see moving around that area...even the bugs and hanging spiders

Update:

I just took the passenger side wheels off, sprayed the hell out of everything with brake cleaner including the swaybar bushings and every single part I could see that moves including the springs!!

Then I used a whole can of silocone spray behind one wheel and another can behind other one. I sprayed everything from control arm connections to cv joints to every bushing and moving part I could see. I finished like a whole huge can behind each wheel and I took it for a test drive and the noise seems like it's gone!

Bushing and stuff was dirty as hell and dry as hell. After using brake cleaner it was almost white..then after a while I sprayed silocone spray like hell and so far no sound. I will check in the morning and go over bumps and report back on the update

If it works, I will do the other side probably tomorrow after autocross just to be on the safe side. I also did the hood latch.

I am planning on doing the other side and then I will grease the doors and other moving stuff. I love this silicone spray, no mess no nothing at all, just spray it up and drive hard so parts move and absorb some of it

Oh and do not, I repeat do not...whatever you do...do not spray brake cleaner on your hands...If it wasn't raining I would have had to leave my work and come wash my hands...it burnt bad!

Edit: I might take pics of before and after on the other side when I do it if ya'all want. Hope this helps.
Thanks.
