suspension bushing rubbing noise?
Didn't get luck from post on s2000 talk so I'll try it here.
I've been hearing some rubber rubbing sound recent from the rear. Do we have rubber bushing in the rear? I suppose they are wear and tear item and are not under warranty. Anyone know how much it'll cost me to replace them? Also my lease is almost up now, can I wait and not replace them? Would there be any negative impact on handling? Will it eventually damage the suspension? Thanks.

There are a few rubber type bushings in the rear. It's most likely they are just drying out a bit or they somehow shifted if the suspension was ever fully unloaded in a weird way. Before replacing anything and since it'll soon be a lease return, you shouldn't spend any money on it. Besides, it might be a warranty item. You'd have to ask. If you have the time, get a can of silicone spray, take the rear wheels off and spray every rubber bushing you find under there. This might quiet them down till you hand the car back in.
Oh, and maybe you've got a squeaky spring?
