Supertech retainers with stock springs and keepers
Hello!
As the topic title describes I am thinking of upgrading my retainers to supertech since the stock ones are prone to crakging. My question is can i use the oem springs and AP1 keepers or not? If yes should I replace my keepers with new ones?
Thanks!

To say they're prone to cracking is not true. Under normal circumstances AP1 retainers will go the distance. AP2 design is better, but it's still not a good idea to mechanically over-rev the engine. The weakness is the valve springs, they're only good for 9,400 rpm max. After that you start experiencing valve float which can easily lead to bent valves and other problems. If you plan to keep OEM rev limits, then OEM is the only proven reliable way to go, anything else is a gamble.

If the supertech retainers are somewhat reliable I was thinking to go supertech, and upgrade my springs too at some point for light turbo or higher revs (?) What do you think?

With every single RPM above 9k, the engine reliability takes a drastic drop.
Why would you want something somewhat reliable, when AP2 retainers are indestructible.

A small turbo will actually shift the power band to lower revs. Trust me, the engine doesn't need to rev any higher. Do yourself a favor, spare yourself the headaches, stick to OEM in the engine. You can use whatever you want elsewhere, but unless you're willing to spend money you really can't improve the oem engine.
