This is how to get max enjoyment out of this car... for drag racing, this is NOT the car to get.. it's hard to launch, and frankly, compared to LS1 powered car, slow.

Ok let me clarify.

Yes the car is reasonably fast as a dragster. Really fast if you consider its a 2750lb+ car with a 2.0 liter NA.

But the point I am trying to make is that you will break so many parts doing it right, I cannot possibly imagine that it is worth it. Couple that with the car's fabulous cornering abilties and you would simply be wasting a really good road race car on cro-magnon straightline abuse(drag racing).

You know, I get so tired of hearing those words, ...this guy's been on the site for what... 2 days now?.
I guess that when Einstein joined the team they questioned him because he'd only been on-site for 2 days...or Verner von Braun...or Carroll Shelby and on and on. What does how long a guy has been registered on s2ki have to do with his knowledge of internal combustion engines or suspensions or tires or flame fronts or cam grinds or whatever? Lord, let's take advantage of new members' input, not assume they don't have a clue because it's their first post.

I think there is a difference in having dragster and a car that will do the 1/4 quickly if need be. I would not take my car to the strip but if challenged I might give in to the temptation.

Hey, now . . . that's not very nice -- I really enjoy drag racing.
